As Orkun Group, in the projects we carry out thousands of kilometers away in Zanzibar, we do not only build structures or roads; we also build unbreakable bridges of goodwill with the local community.
One of the moments that touched us most during our work in the region came from the smiling children of Zanzibar. Our little friends around the construction site gave us a priceless surprise by carving our company’s name onto the wooden toy cart they had made with their own hands and used in their games.
This photograph represents the purest form of touching people’s lives and sharing love—far beyond the technical aspects of what we do. Seeing the name “Orkun” on that small cart is, for us, a badge of honor far greater than any massive project we have completed.
The affection of the people of Zanzibar and the smiles on children’s faces strengthen our motivation every day. We did not go there merely to build; we went to leave a mark—and it is clear that the most beautiful mark we have left is in hearts.
